Licorice Root [Glandular, Respiratory]. We know this herb for its wide use as a candy flavoring, but its value goes far beyond that. The medicinal use of licorice goes back several thousand years. Licorice root has been used by traditional herbalists as a general tonic and for respiratory support. It also supports the liver. Licorice is included in most Chinese herb combinations to balance the other herbs and to promote vitality.
